Typically used to close-off the water supply at the end of the 1/2-in poly tubing lines and has a removable threaded cap to flush the line or to open the end to winterize
To attach the 1/2-in poly tubing first push the collar back to expose the barb with a built in O-ring
Push and wiggle the 1/2-in poly onto the fitting and under the collar until snug
While holding the tubing with 1 hand turn the ears of the collar in a left counter-clockwise motion to tightened and lock onto the 1/2-in poly tubing
Unthread the end cap to open the end of the line to drain or flush the water out
This fitting can be uninstalled easily by unthreading the collar in a clockwise motion then by pulling off the 1/2-in poly
If you find it difficult to get the 1/2-in poly tubing onto the fitting, use a little olive oil or vegetable oil by wiping it on the inside of the wall of 1/2-in poly then push in the fittings
